Double post! Yes, it was on purpose.

Same old thing happened again, i was green in envy..

I managed to sand down the glue and nut was fitted in quite nicely. Marking the line was initially fine, but not sure why i erased it.. Everything was ah.... i decided to stop doing it for the time being. Will send it down to a bro to help me make a new nut. He was gracious enough to let me see the process, which was exceptional. Thanks bro! Haha!

JM album was great! Well, i was actually expecting some nice guitar intro solos like 'Continium'. Overall, great but i think it's the songs are little..could have add more, haha? Uhm, here is one great song from his album.

Awesome solo!!

I think, i screwed my guitar.

Might need to send her to hospital..
Couldn't tolerate it.

It may sound like he is joking, but i don't get it why can't he look at himself before he criticises someone. After all, he is nothing but an empty vessel.. Sorry, just couldn't help it..

Ok back to the nut. I wasn't sure what i was doing, but i seemed to be killing my guitar! Gosh.. Plan B, baby, it's time for plan B.

Initially, when i read posts regarding nut, i was shocked in the way they responded. Now i know why, that's because it's that difficult.

I was really struggling, cracking my head how to sand it down..

You've got to be nonchalent in order to enjoy your holiday!!
Yes, fear is revolving, spining and stiring in my heart..

I've yet to touch on my nut project. Indeed, it isn't forgiving at all. Well, i'm pretty sure with help from the above, i'm able to do a fine job, haha! Next up, i guess it will be more sanding and tracing the curvature. Before i forget.. a big thanks to a brother for giving tips and showing me his tools! Just bought another bone nut from him, i guess it'll be a lot easier to work on since it's denser.. FYI, the camel bone is really hard, it took me around 1.5 hours to sand down to almost the point i'd marked(yes, it's a repetition)

Seriously, i'm going bonkes about this. Afterall, if i failed to do my job, i'll take my 20 dollar as an investment. The brother i met actually used up 6 nut blanks to make a perfect one. Although this might sound discouraging.. but i'll prove him wrong, haha!

If everything goes on smoothly, i'll move on to saddle. If any guitar enthusiast reads this, yes i know it's weird, people usually go for saddle first instead of nut, probably i'm the geh-gao type lor, hahahaha :P

Plans, plans.. As i said, this upcoming holiday will be a season of learning. Next up, i'll work( hopefully maestro..) for cash and experience, import goods to sell for some profits to fund my electric guitar, amp and mutliEFX board( eye`ing on line6 products), find sifu to teach me do cables and... making saddles to give (first) as a blessing then, sell to brothers and sister cheaply to also fund my guitar expenses. Ultimately, what i do( filing nuts and saddles) are just my passion and experience. For those who know me well, before i die, i'll build at least one guitar ( for my 1st child - inspired by g4c bro =D )

Man!! Too many things, it's really never to small to dream big!

I'm a man living with purposes!

The BIG thing that i've been waiting for...
It's project NUT! Seriously, it's nut.. it drove me crazy man.. It was my first attempt and i guess, i failed.
Equipments!
More!! You must be wondering what's with the yellow car, ain't yar? Haha! A short story of the birth of little wooden-pencil-holder car.
It was just my sec1 DnT project.. HAHA! Yes, it's that short!
Maybe i should tell you what it's for? Well, although it's just a pencil holder, but it serves a major purpose in the process. Without that little car, i guess i wouldn't be able to hit the nut out.
Ah..there you go.. The car just knocked down the nut, deliberatly.
Didn't take any picture after that, process was rather tedious and time consuming. I marked out the shape and started sanding down. It wasn't that simple as i thought! I read one of the post by an american luthier, he said that 150 grit sand paper will do a fast job. Hah! I proved him wrong, it wasn't really true, i spent almost an hour++ just to sand the nut till the point i marked and you know what? It still didn't hit the line. My hands were worned, the bone nut smell was like crap!?! Couldn't take it anymore so decided to call it a day.
Hopefully the nut will be done by tomorrow, will get to a bro's house to help me out, i guess heh.
And.. ah!That's the end.. this holiday is gona be a learning season..
FYI, i'm a luthier wanabe!
Oh! Oh! I'm on TE's mode now, i've been practicing his songs. All i can say is...MAN! It's really tough! How on earth am i gona play bass and rhythm at the same time! Haha well, i think pratice makes perfect and hopefully i'll be able to master the songs i'm learning.
Cheers!

My guitar expenses are really high, but i'm glad i didn't have to empty my wallet for all the equipment. Thanks dad! Thanks for paying and that really minimise my expenses :)

Just ordered another 2 bone nut blank and of course, my steel wool(finally!). I'm only short of a needle file. I'm seriously excited about the project! I've been anticipating a lot lately.. Although it's just a nut, but i believe it's gona be a good start.

Training.. Gona go back to train this coming friday. Will have to train harder for src next year..

:) :) :) not miss out, gona jam with mr man and neighbour this holiday!
